I am struggling with getting too excited about dragging a heavy boat through the cattails with loon poop up to my knees.

I have nothing clever to put here.

You’ve got loon poop despite the cattails. Wash up, will ya?

Yep, nothing more exciting than a beavah in a 330. I love the early to late fall beaver trapping.

Last little batch will be done today.
Then it's time for fall browns, salmon and duck/goose.

I’m pretty much ready. Just waiting on 3 more Koro Wolf traps. Gotta install the shocks and tack weld the swivels and toss em into the barrel of spruce bows. This summer beaver ADC sucks!…..lol

Yep trapping season for land animals start mid Oct. Don't know if it's the age or what but trapping beats hunting. I'll still deer hunt but only for meat. I'll shoot the first two that come by and go set traps and snares, a lot of snares this year. I think I may be getting the hang of it. Like BOCO told me, set out more snares, wire is cheap. I too am running outta projects to do before the season opens. Hope Ya’ll have a great season and keep posting pictures. I wouldn't know as much as I do in such a short time without you folks sharing what it took years to learn. I appreciate you sharing that knowledge. At my age I ain't got years to learn from hard knocks. I need a few shortcuts.

I do need to get to tending to trap maintenance at some point.

Took my boat and motor in to be serviced yesterday. A heck of a lot of farming to be done before i can legitimately think about trapping though.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

I can't wait either Boco. I just love being out there doing what makes me happy. Cool/cold weather and the smell of goldenrod rotting in the air. Putting up fur also. To me my favorite part of trapping.

I guess i’m behind everyone with my prep work.
It’s been so hot down here its been hard to get motivated to do anything.
Weather finally broke here last night and temps dropped so i guess its time to get moving.

Boco you sure do rack up the fur! Nice looking string for sure.
