We can bury our heads in the sand forever and avoid controversial subjects like politics, but pretending politics are not going to affect most everything trappers value and care about is a little short sighted.

Because if a mod doesn't get to it quick enough and it gets quoted. It stays in the quoted portion even if it's been deleted.
When you got a site like this, with this many members it would be an immense task for someone to go through each thread and trying to edit the quote and such out.

Or if someone doesn't quote but still comments about it and it gets deleted then it makes thread confusing to read. Ever been going through a thread and something doesn't seem right? It's mainly because of the above.

Someone said division is evil then I guess they are saying America is evil. because division is what started this country. Some of the worst fights I have seen on here were over science and religion

There is a perfect example placed here about others not respecting others, but can't leave well enough alone, and it's a clear example of why politics is not discussed here, as it shows just how ignorant some people can be !! Sad that even in this discourse this rears it's ugly head !!
