Can't I pay off the rent House mortgage simply by using and having then draft it off the bank account that has been set up on auto pay for the last 3 years. I can easy add the extra I want to send to principal each month t and have been. But when you ask for the pay off it takes 24 to 48 hrs to get the amount and has to be a wire transfer or money order. Maybe I'm just a cave man but it makes no since why you can't get the amount instantly and also pay it out of the linked account.

Anyone have any insight to the why? My best guess is to be able to add a processing fee ot some such charge up.

Maybe cause a larger amount raises AI's eyebrows or the asset isn't there and it has to be transferred from somewhere else My ira is with the local credit union and I have to go in fill out a form and wait till its approved can't just walk in and make a withdrawal

Well I have been paying 1 to 2 k a month extra to the principal each month for the last year and a half. My principal balance Is $416.80. Quite a bit smaller than they take out each month but would make since if it were 5 k or more maybe. But not really even then. I mean my bank account shows the pending charged coming out a few days before the withdrawal date so that tells me the bank and mor company are communicating and they should be able to tell if the funds are there? But I have no idea and yours is better than anything I came up with.

But they give you a day range to get it paid off so it won't be to the day. They also said you can't just let it pay out and when the balance gets below the payment amount they won't just take what's due. They won't take anything and you have to request the pay off. I told her heck I don't care take an extra grand get it figured and send the rest back. Nope don't want to do that.

She didn't have a thing to say when I asked why I had late fees on my property tax bill escrow must not be paying it on time or how was I to pay on time when my payment bill showed up in the mail box 3 days after the due date? Good thing everything is set up on auto pay.

But they sure did want to offer me a discount on my next mortgage. I said are you kidding? You pay taxes late you have been holding the money for and I have to pay late fees, and you send statements out after the due dates. If I get another loan it won't be with you.

Now it's just one more thing I have to mess with. May not be a big deal to you but I don't work a tradional schedule, or make it home after work every day. I seldom know what day or month it is. Weekends day shift night shift every other week. It's all that same. I was home about 14 hours total one time this week worked 16 hr shifts on both day shift and night shift and will have 92 hrs this week and likely 96. So if I spend 45 min to an hour driving to town wiring money or geting a money order that may be nothing to you but my time is very valuable to me.

You need to check that they didn't put your extra payments into the banking limbo of unapplied funds. My last mortgage company did that to me and didn't credit me for any of that money I over paid them.

The simple answer is the bank probably doesn't own the mortgage. It's just set up to pull money out of that account to pay the premiums. You'll probably have to find out who owns the mortgage and then send them the check to pay it off.

FINALLY this is most like the winning answer. My loan has been sold 3 or 4 times and I think it is now just serviced by the place taking the payments. They can't legally close it out if they do t have the stuff so will take time to get it together. That makes since. Thanks
