Ya I got pulled over again yesterday morning on my way home on the interstate. Nice younger state cop said I was doing 83. I'm sure he is right on my speed my speedometer said 76 when I looked down when I saw him as I came over the hill on the curve. But my tires are bigger than factory and GPS says I'm 7 to 9 mph faster than the speedometer reads and I am going faster than it registers. He had me dead to rights and he didn't recognize me since I shaved I'm guessing but he got me in the same place 4 months ago( I didn't remind him). He asked how my driving record was and I told him I got a seat belt ticket about a week ago he didn't care about that. It came back clean with nothing showing up He gave me a warning again. He did zero fishing told me I was speeding asked how my driving record was ran my info gave the warning and I was on my way. Very professional.

I rarely get stopped. When I do its a semi safety check.

Rare for me , but when I do , it's always a revenue generator and not a real cop capable of doing real police work

Had not been home in 6 days, had 20 hrs between shifts and 5 hrs of drive time so 15 hrs at home 14 if you count leaving early. I was not speeding on purpose just not paying attention like driving a little faster when there is music you are jamming to on and not realizing it. Traffic was passing me not to many miles earlier.

BS excuse PF, use your cruise control on the interstate and account for your tires or pay the man. You can get away with running high if it is with traffic, but if you are passing most of the other vehicles you are in danger of getting caught. If there is not enough other traffic to tell then you can be on cruise control.

Your assumption is my 97 Ford range has cruise control. It does not. I'm not one of them hi rolling rich trappers with fancy gizmos . It does have an am fm radio but no tape deck or cd player but no cup holders.

Some habits are hard to break, pretty soon that record is going to be announced before the car is towed and you hauled away for a real rest !!

Between the ages of 17-30 I have been pulled over about 2 dozen times. Since then, not once. Part of it is my driving behavior changed, part of it is the vehicles I drive. Only 1 ticket in my life and I knew I wasn't talking my way out of it. I showed my gratitude for not hauling me in.

Only been pulled over three times in 35 plus years of driving. All three were at night. I think they just wanted to check me out and see who I was. Never even got a warning.

Last ticket I received , a cop pulled an illegal u turn to get me ...he was proud.....passed right by a tweaker with a shopping cart full of stolen stuff including the shopping cart ....I was holding my cell phone up to my chin .


He tried to convince me that driving while on a cell phone was equal to drunk driving ......lol......we both be driving drunk for 40 yrs I guess


Pathetic ......we have an unacceptable amount of crime around theses parts

Last time I got pulled over was for clipping the curb squeezing into the right turn lane. Cop was not happy. He was livid when he realized he was out of tickets. " It's your lucky day bud, cuz I'm out of tickets, that will never happen again."

Last time I played out the fishing questions I shut down fast all but insuring I got a ticket knowing it would but with th intent to move thing along faster.

Ya that works. But why have I been pulled over going 5 under at 430am out off state taking my daughter on a youth deer hunt. I was going slow in an unfamiliar area looking for where the turn was in the dark. Cop Said I swear vent in my lane !and was a lie as the cruzer cam clearly showed in court later. He saw out of state plates early in the morning g and made up bs to pull me over and satisfy his curiosity. Now 4 continuations 2.5 hr drives one way and missed work to go to court before they finally gave up on me paying the bs ticket and it got thrown out after watching the video from the cruzer. Would have been money ahead to jus pay the ticket for 125 vs the gas, time off work missed two days, the other two I was off, and all the time driving. But the principal of it and how the cop acted mad me mad. Ultimately he he was exposed in court but probably got a promotion. Thin blue line and all or maybe just part of the good old boy network in KY.

But hey he was just doing his job righ. Made up bs excuse to stop me, did all he could to get me fired up to escalate things( thank goodness I had my 7 year old daughter in the truck so I stayed cool) bs ticket because I did calmly let him know my low opinion of him. 4 continuations whrn i got to the court house on the court dates hoping I would get tired of the drive and taking of work and pay the little $125 ticked a day it would go away. They did figure I would keep coming back and they would be proven in court with their own video the cop lied made an illegal stop and lied about me swearving ( ticket was for careless driving) ..

I have never complained about a ticket , or lawful stop, only cops fishing, illegal stops and now with this the cop lying and weighting a ticket for what his own video showed he lied. I'm happy for all of those that have only had good cop interactions. But just because that is your experience in your few interactions does not mean that how they all are. Have one bad one and your eyes will be opened. Or maybe not if the boot licker govern me harder daddy instant is two strong.

Typically most cops are cool and laid back. I don't like the fishing or when cops think they are slick trying to pull bs. I'm also not shy saying when they do a good job either.

I have driven over 30000 miles this year so far. I would attempt it without cruise control. The gas savings alone would warrant a different. That and as I get older I find myself driving too slow.

Ironically no police interactions this year either.

Before I retired, I drove 40,000 a year. Since retirement in 2013, probably 28,000 a year. Haven’t been pulled over since 1993. Not that hard to avoid trouble. Just follow the law.

I got one ticket in my whole life back in 1976. I just got my license 5 months earlier. Doing 40 in a 30. $10 fine, suspended for 6 months and had to sit in a 4 hour "safe driving" class.

Ha ha broght back memories. I go try first ticket when I was 17. I was running late geting home having got tied up having out with my girlfriend (now my wife) longer than I planed. I thought I would be slick and not tell dad ( I had moved in with when I was 16) or mon (I no longer lived with) because I was a new driver I was ordered to go to defensive driving school two Saturdays and $125. I walked in to class and to my surprise mom was in the same class. So much for not telling anyone. Everyone got a good laugh even the instructor.
