Several years ago I put an outdoor shower on the side of our shower house/bathroom at the river. Mostly for people to rinse off after swimming or boating on river. Turns out I way prefer the outdoor shower to indoor. I’ll walk or golf cart down to the river rather than take one in the house most of the summer. You stay cool and comfortable way longer for some reason. No sweating even after a pretty hot outdoor shower.

Anybody else use one?

The skeeters would eat me alive here with that set up.

I have nothing clever to put here.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

That’s kinda how the inside of our shower house is set up. But technically no, not an outdoor shower. lol.

Yes I’ve had several. Currently at the northern place the shower house resembles the one in the old MASH shows.
Difference being the areas below and above the privacy boards are screened, no skeeters allowed.

That’s the plan for our outdoor shower in Canada too. I’ve been working on the new building up there since April of last year, off and on. When my wife came up this summer she looked at all the progress and said “this looks awesome!” Followed quickly by “where is the outdoor shower going”. Lmao.

We had one at one of my hunting camps. Down here an outdoor shower during the summer means skeeters and you’re drenched in sweat by the time you get back to the club house.
I liked it during the winter and showering first thing in the morning. You’d shiver while getting dressed, but I wouldn’t get cold while hunting. It was more like an ice bath vs shower, lol.

I find the opposite as far as sweating after outdoor shower. Inside, even with AC going full tilt, I’m not near as comfortable after as I am after outdoor shower.

When people stay on our river shack during summer they all start out in indoor shower but most migrate to the outdoor after a couple days. All talk about how much more comfortable they feel after.

I don’t get it 100%, but I like it.

Several of us tent camped in the National Forest in W VA We would be there for about 3 weeks archery and rifle hunting deer Sowe had to invent some arrangement to get a shower if not every day at least every 2 or 3 days We started out using a plastic tarp and making a frame and wrapping the tarp around it We would heat water in a bucket and use a small battery operated pump in the bucket And we took the hose and shower head off of a solar shower bag We could run the pump until we where wet and shut the water of and clean up and then rise off It would do a good job of getting a refreshing shower in about 5 to 10 minutes Later on we bought a shower enclosurer which made it easier to put up, hang the shower hose and cut down on the wind going thru it On a sunny day the afternoon the air temp was generally in the low 40's and getting a shower was not a problem However if we where hunting a distance from where we camped that meant we where hunting in a different pattern And sometimes that meant we had to leave camp early in the afternoon and got back later Taking and outdoor shower in the dark of the mountains at 7 PM when the air temp was in the low teens made you learn how to get a worth while shower but not spend to much time lingering If you missed a spot of two it was not really all that important But I would agree that a good outdoor shower can be something thatyoucould learn to like

Here is the heater we use with that portable shower it takes some adjusting it gets hot very hot until you adjust it correctly. This model needs pressurized water they make one with a pump also. $200 at Menards for this model a couple D batteries ignite the burner.

We use the easy tankless 101. Same brand as yours LD, but I think mine is a size down from yours. Have it installed outside on the back of SH in summer then move it in during winter. We have one in the summer kitchen down there too. Sure doesn’t have to get real cold to freeze and break the coil. It’s real thin, I’m guessing for fast heat conduction.
