Ended up getting one for like $300...mainly so I could just tell the folks there I had one and would leave me alone without me.having to be rude,on my monthly visit laugh ,only a lil $300 deal and shot my score up 50 something points which is cool... Anyhow I know it has the whole point system, just curious how y'all go about using it / racking them up? So far I've just been using it to buy reloading stuff and paying it the balance off on the app a few minutes later. Figured why not just get the extra lil points with it instead of my debit card.
Anyway what do y'all do? Just daily use? Or ?

I use mine for gas and certain bills and pay it off as I use it so I don't pay interest.

If it makes a track on this earth , I can catch it.

I went away from the Cabelas/Bass Pro card. I didn’t like being tied down to just them. Went with a Citi double cash gives me 1% when I purchase and 1% when I pay my bill. I can use the cash anywhere and not just tied to Cabelas/Bass pro who in my opinion is not as competitive in price for 95+% of the items I purchase. My other reason was that I have never had a credit card compromised as much as I did my Cabelas card.

I charge about $1200 of my monthly expenses gas, farm supplies, etc never carry a balance ever. At the moment I have enough credit card cash to buy my plane ticket for my annual Alaska trip.

I also rack up a fair amount as I organize an Alaska fishing trip every year where I book everyone’s plane tickets, pay the RV rental, etc for 5 guys

Technically ours is Cabela's but my wife and I use ours for everything we can. We pay the balance so that we never pay interest.

I put almost 100k on a Cabelas card every year and they just shut it off on me for not updating my financial information, I'm going to end up canceling over it.

The best thing about the cards is that Cabelas will price match and beat any price (from approved competitors) by 5%, I normally check amazon or walmart then call cabelas and have them price match plus take 5% off.

Credit cards are great WITH PROPER DISCIPLINE but they make their money from ppl with poor discipline.
My Son flies to Mexico with his wife every year and it's paid for with credit card points. I'm buying a new Aquaview camera with points for ice fishing this winter.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I have the personal card and club business. My business puts $8-$10k a month on it. I have bought
two high end shotguns, Swarovski binocs $2400 and just got 3 new millennium tree stands and haven’t
paid a dime. However, you have to pay them in full every month or the interest will make getting free
stuff with points not worth it!

keep that up , keep it paid off , Debt sucks

I don't have a bas pro card

I usually tell them no thanks

my son has one

I just don't shop there enough to make it that worth my while.

I have good credit , you want good credit while not being in debt , those cards charge ridiculous interest rates
cabellas bass pro isn't a store it is a credit card company with a store attached

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

They have huge buildings full of people and computers setting you up to fail with your CC. It’s a minority of people who reap all the benefits and avoid the traps. IMO

They will most likely ignore your $300 limit. The second your balance reaches $301, you’ll be hit with a $30 over limit fee. Just one example, there’s hundreds of other ways built into the paperwork designed to trip you up. Only way for most people to win, is not to play.

The sad truth is if you have credit and don’t use it they ding your credit score but not enough to worry about it really. Don’t fall into that trap if you have a good score but if your building your score using a card will help you with that. Just pay it off monthly to avoid the high interest rates.
