I don’t see much success on cats in coyote remakes… if I do it’s usually a large Tom

Coyotes dont tend to go in cages so,,,,,,, cant help ya.......

Here in Indiana I can't keep cats out of coyote sets remake's or other wise.

Not just coyote remakes, but any remake seems to get an up close visit from every bcat to come thru. Based on tracks that are usually easy to see at a remake...I've missed several bcats at remakes, too. They approach from the craziest angles sometimes.

I see no difference between new set and remake

Grey fox remake was always a sure cat catch in a few days and vice versa. Never really paid alot of attention to coyote remakes since alot of times they were wayyyyyyyy out of location for any cat to begin with.

I seldom use urine. But when I'm trapping around a female with kittens I use coyote urine heavy and crank up the pan tension.
Don't want to cach kittens.

Can't recall catching a cat in coyote remake. Plenty of cats in coyote sets, but not remakes.

Same here in Illinois

Not as many cats here and I try to avoid cat habitat when coyote trapping because of deer, possums and coons. Think I've only caught 2 cats in sets I've made for coyotes and they were fresh sets. Dont think I've ever caught a coyote in a set I've made for cats.

How about the reverse? I catch fox in cat remakes almost immediately

I don't target cats, but if I catch one in a canine set (whether it be long tailed or bob tailed) the remake is dynamite for coyotes or wolves. I can't recall catching a cat in a coyote remake, although I can recall at least two instances where lions worked the remake without stepping on the trap, and I've had bobcats tromp all over a wolf remake where the pan tension was too high on the wolf trap for them to set it off.

I remember Belin catching a beautiful cat in a possum remake.
