I have been making some lures and baits to experiment with and I think I have found a ok formula. I put in some sets 2 days ago and I used a lure I have been trying on a dirt hole on a road that the fox have been travelling. Before and after pic.[Linked Image]

Not giving tips or advice here as I have only been making my own lures for about a year.
Just sharing a experience.

Looking good...try making set without hole or cover it up. As sometimes hole gets them working the set.
Not a lure maker per say...but some of the stuff I have concocted had different reactions in Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.
Keep playing/testing/tweeking....nice work!

Way to go on the testing. You will learn a ton from it both as a trapper and lure maker. I know nothing about fox but that reaction on coyotes is pretty good especially if you can get them to do it regularly. I do a lot of comparative testing too. Side by side dirt holes comparing different formulations or ingredients. For me it as fun as trapping.

With the fox population that you have over there you should have lots of action with a variety of formulas. High numbers makes for competition amongst the predators and add in the Dingos as well.

That ought to make you feel good seeing it pawed at and tore up. Feet all over is what you need. Nice Ethan, I love testing. Been doing it in the summer last few years. This year I'm still holding off on my test plots so I can compare to last three years summer vrs late summer early fall this year.
