ive never been to a trapping convention but i might go to this coming convention and i was wondering if they have lots of tailgaters or just vendors or an even amount of both and if so how many vendors and tailgaters are there? really i need someone to tell me what all they have there.

Lima is a great venue for the convention. Vendors and tailgaters. You will be able to find anything you need.

If you've never been to a convention, you need to go. Lots of good demos and good people.

Tailgaters are kinda random. Usually have about as many and sometimes more than the vendors . I don't have the confirmed list as there are still several that have not confirmed yet. You'll be able to get just about everything outside maybe some specialty stuff.

I will be setup as a tailgater. Also Wilbur Cook from IN. Lima is a great convention. Lots of tailgaters. Stop on in when you get a chance

Good water lure
Possible belisle 220s dozen
1 gallon of fish oil with squirt bottle
Packbasket
Maybe a trappers pole or no bs death ray

The dealers that I know that will be there will have all that.

You usually get a better price at a convention, plus no shipping charges.

There are generally good deals at conventions. Some dealers offer specials on certain items. Plus you never know what will show up in the tail gate area. Remember - cash talks. Bring plenty - you might find items you didn’t even know you needed.

Can set em on shallow water sets for coon mink and rats or nuisance trapping groundhogs

If you let vendors know what you want early enough.
They will usually bring it with them and have it set back for you to pick up there.

well guys my mom said she could take me so i will be there saturday! i am not sure how to build a colony trap or a snare so i would like to participate in that and i also hope to go see the mink demo.

Trapped groundhogs all summer and worked for my grandparents so I’m bringing 500 all for trapping

unfortunately the mink demo and the colony trap building is at the same time. Fortunately though the colony trap building doesnt take that long so you can probably run over to the demo area after building the colony trap to catch the rest of the demo. Just gotta sign up at the OSTA Booth ASAP for the colony trap building(i would recommend getting there right at 8am so you can be part of the first group or two so you can catch most of the demo. You can probably tackle Mark after his demo to pick is brain a bit more on mink.

Alright, that does stink but like you said I should be able to catch a little of it at least. Do you keep the colony traps you build or do they give them away or how does that work?
