Looks cool. I think I would opt for the Milwaukee chain saw first. It works good for it's size,as long as you don't over work it.

We use the electric chain saws made by Remington to cut 12" dunnage on turbine jobs.
They're worth their weight in gold.

Cool for sure. I don’t see an oiler on it. Might be able to rig a dripper.

Oil on fine beam work is kind of a problem

Bar oil is not really required for the intended purpose of this attachment. It is used to cut laps, 1/2 laps, mortises and tenons so the cuts are finished before too much heat is generated.

Just happy to be here.

been around about 30 years , or that was when I saw the first one at a log home show
same company

I have seen a bolt on shoes for chainsaw bars that cost a lot less if you already have a chainsaw

you can also get larger circular saws , picked up a 10 inch at a rummage sale , they used to call that a production saw , you could line up the studs for a wall , toss a clamp on them and cutting through the 3 1/2 inch direction cut a walls worth in one pass variation from stud to stud being less than the thickness of a pencil line.

3 11/16 depth of cut , if you cut a 6x6 from both sides you get a clean cut
where with a 7 1/4 you have to cut all 4 sides and break the little tit in the middle or get it with a hand saw.

I would think a chainsaw would be kind of a problem for “fine” work as well. grin

I don’t see it finishing the rip cut in the video without smoking the chain. Unless some type of oil is used. JMO
