Ahhh crap. Thought I was done with conventions this year. Had I clicked on this a little sooner I’d have ripped out there Friday to catch Saturdays events.

No pictures of coyote days? Should be about time for dinner there and the fur show. Wish I could had gone again , but the phone keeps ringing with people that still have a few bucks to spend.

Try to get my pics backed up to post.
Hot dry and what a great event.
Learned a ton from some of the best trappers in the country.
Buyers were also there to update on coming trends in fur market.

Sold a mt lion hide and a few skulls that paid for our trip over from Laramie.

Thanks to John Graham for a great event !!!!
And was nice to meet him and other trappers from around the country. Many of which had tips too on fur handling and trapping. Learned a ton.

Few pics from Coyote Days 2024.
The day opened each morning with the National Anthem sung by a local rancher gal. Brough a tear to my eye each time.
Flag bearer was Miss Rodeo SD, I told her she took a nice pic !!

Learned an insane amount from some of the best cat trappers in the country, didn't get pics of all of them but here are a few.
The fur handling demos were great as well a got a couple of tips there too.
Learned very valuable info on beavers as we are new to trapping them. Should really up our take this Fall if we have more problems.
Also learned we need lots bigger traps if we want to catch a wolf when they move in, will be coming to our area anytime soon.
Bought a bunch of stretchers , can't wait to use them Otis !!
Stocked up on lure for the season, pee too. Thanks John !
The amount of coyote trapping and taking knowledge was off the charts as well.

Spouse now knows it is NOT unrealistic to expect bobcats to be skinned and fleshed in a timely manner, lol.
The gentleman from Western CO skinned, fleshed , sewed a 5 inch hole and had it turned on a board in 1 hr, with time left over !! He gave valuable insight on put up and fur grading.

Lots of trappers just there to learn also shared valuable tips on trapping, fur put up and various other things that were really appreciated by all of us and the demo folks alike.
The back East guys were very helpful with some info for us Western folks.

Overall a really nice time and very educational for me, us.
Hoping now we can make it next year.
