went to set some crab pots in a place that helps if it's high tide, somehow, I got confused or didn't pay proper attention and slid right up on a flat with the tide dropping, couldn't push her off , and to make it just a little more frustrating I was only 10 feet from floatable water, lol.

So spent the day from 730, to 3 pm waiting for enough water to float her off...but did scrounge a pail of hard clams while I waited.

I've been a bayman since 1969, know these areas well, but once in a while, stuff happens, and it can happen to anyone, so pay attention!!!

Doesn't pay to be stupid unless you prove it once in awhile!

River is always changing and getting full with gravel

I’ve never run a ground, but forgot to tie the boat up once or twice.

Or forget to put the plug in the boat ..... you realize it once the pickup and trailer are in the parking lot. You can run pretty fast at that point.

Wow you got off easy. Hitting something in broad daylight ! I hit a log at 3 in the morning and it was because I can’t drive a boat.

Least you had tide to lift. Some of the old sloughs on the warrior are more silt than water. Venturing to far into that definitely sucks.
