I get traditional treatment for something like a common cold but treating a semi conscious person when there is medical access available is criminal

I think it happens more than most people know.
I went on a medical call probably 30 some years ago now. Young girl had been kept in wire dog crate or locked in small closet for years. You want to see a screwed up kid.
Guy like me wants to just push the parents in chipper shredder.

I don't know if the parents are still in jail they were.
No idea where that young lady is now or how she turned out.
It's one of those things when you see for real. Leaves an impression on you.

what I suspect is that the parents beat the kid and instead of taking her to a Dr. for treatment of the beatings which would of resulted in the cops getting called by the Dr. they rationalized that they could do the treatment.

So it was a rationalized self defense decision by the parents, not some non-typical religious belief.

She was a Cheerleader, and may have gotten hurt from a failed "Move" in practice.

Doctors kill plenty, too. Never hear that, though.

Here's one: When I was very young I got sick. My mother brought me to the hospital and as hospitals do, they pump you full of drugs. I was allergic to many drugs but they insisted that was the way to go. I got worse and more drugs went. My Mom walked in, grabbed me and took me home, half unconscious. They said "he'll be dead in the morning" (talking about ME). My mom said "you'll kill him anyhow and at least he'll die at home". My mom flushed my system with fluids and I pulled out of it.

"Sometimes" mothers know best and sometimes the hospital will kill you. How many people died of covid because they went to the hospital? They are now finding the drug that killed many covid patients was used to save them. My neighbor was one of those people. She was great.

Don't be so eager to judge. The story I read above doesn't have all that much information.
