Depending on who you listen to. Some saying China stopped buying gold which I don't believe at all. Of course election season is here and people are panicking.

My IRA has done well enough that I would like to put some in gold in case stock market crashes but I think record high prices may be a bad time to buy gold.

I remember tuning in a couple of coin the last time it was this high and they wanted to deduct for scratches.......

If you're your selling "collector" gold you'll run into that.

Just wait until the Gubmint makes the possession of gold
by private citizens illegal again like FDR did in 1934.

I resonantly did a transaction that the dealer fee was so different, that I could buy at one and drive to the next a make a month wage......

Not really. Basically if has collector value, jewelry etc it was exempted . Course with these people on charge today they'd probably take it out of your PCs and phones if they could

I also remember stoping at the Pawn/gun shop on 30 and they has gold for sale at 430,,,, at that time it was worth 230......(don't remember the year)
