Crowfoot trapper Joined: Jan 2022 Eastern W by God V	Once the bullet reaches its apogee and looses the velocity and spin stabilization, it never recovers enough to quit tumbling till it his the ground. Especially a stubby bullet like that. A surprising bunch of people are killed from yayhoos in foreign countries doin that celebration thing where they fire their guns up into the air. If I find the story, I'll post it.

So, if they shot up in the air even slightly in my direction it could reach the building from a high elevation. "Where Can A Man Find Bear Beaver And Other Critters Worth Cash Money When Skinned?"

2bit trapper 2 Joined: Nov 2023 NV	Carbine changes everything. Yes out of a rifle that does not surprise me. Out of a pistol it's going 900 fps. When it finally hits the ground it's going bb gun speed 300 fps. Average speed of 600 fps divided by 5280 ft it would need nearly 10 seconds of air time to make it a mile. Obviously you can't say it was him, but sharing what you e discovered and a friendly reminder of where you live wouldn't hurt.

I would assume the terminal velocity of a bullet would be lethal. I certainly am not going to test that theory.
