Went coyote hunting 3 mornings last week and was able to call 1 up each morning and thought I was on a good roll. I got up this morning and the moon was light and it was about 10 degrees cooler than it has been being so I decided to go and try and call another one in. I traveled over 1/4 of this county and could not find one. so I come back home and set around until seven. I decided to drive behind the house and hook up to a trailer, as I drove behind the house I saw something white move in a swag in the field. It turned out to be a coyote with a cat or small dog in its mouth.Looks like he has been hunting in town at least that is where he was coming from. I hooked up to the trailer and then grabbed my gear and headed into the woods that he went into. Well my good luck streak has broke. I could not call him up. You never know where those things will show up at.

Congrats on the streak!
I haven’t been calling in a month now, everything’s just way too thick to even remotely see anything unless I find higher terrain.

Around here it is thick everywhere in these pine plantations. Everything is shotgun and turkey loads up close and personal, most are under 50 yards.
