Honeycrisp is my favorite variety of apples. Some years the ones grown at the orchard about two miles from my place are just incredibly delicious.

Eh...wot?

This is my mom Gladys

She had a stroke a while back and were tryng to get her interested in life again.

She went through some.bad depression but I think she's getting better.

I take her with me when I can. She enjoys the ride and isn't able to drive anymore.

That's a great way to get your Mom out. If I lived by you I would buy a bag just to make applesauce out of 'em. Just peel, core and chunk them and put in crock pot for a few hours. Makes great no sugar added apple sauce. I then freeze it in ziplock bags.

I do love Honeycrisps but mine won't be ripe for quite a while yet. Some of my other apples like Harelred's are getting pretty close.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Do you have much for apples this year. Pretty slim on the West side

Some of the crabs are loaded but my "real apples" are pretty meager. Last year I had to brace the trees up they were so loaded. I have heard that heavy production every other year is common with apples.

This part of world originally thought the crop was lost early with some big frosts. Now looks like it’s set to be another bumper crop. Heck most of large guys I know had their crews out most of summer thinning by hand to reduce number of apples produced. I’m hearing from some of the co-op marketing guys that they are still sitting on some 2023 crop after a record 2022 crop and prices will likely be taking quite hit on 2024 crop

There were so many last year they were selling as deer bait. Fifty a truckload. All stickerd and ready for market.
160 user. Yes crab apples produce every other year that is why I have planted American chestnuts. They produce every year and deer love them. I have 200 trees 10 to 12”” tall ready to go at $20 each. Local pick up only.

No offense, but I prefer Fuji apples to Honeycrisp apples.

It's been months since I bought the book, "How To Scam People On Line". It still hasn't arrived yet.

I’m surprised people like them. Definitely super sweet but to me they have zero taste. Id have to be hard up to eat honey crisp but growers like how they sell. If you can add about 6-7 other varieties with them they are ok in cider
