Me , partly due to cultural differences between me and the wife and partly because I prefer to.
Lotta what I eat just end up being too ...rich I guess for her . Too many textures, flavors ect and her...well 60% of the time her preferred after work meals are chicken ramen, fish sticks ,Mac and cheese, hamburger helper if she's got a big appetite or some other highly processed stuff washed down with coke. I physically just cannot eat like that anymore. One or twice a week sure but after a few days my body and energy just tank.
We where also raised kinda different so the way we look at cooking is....wellll.... Like I saw my parents, when they wanted something they would go to the freezer pull out som meat toss it in the sink full of water and in 45 min or so would be cooking and have a decent meal or snack. Like if you hungry just cook, get home from work , cook, we hand to have been dog dead tired to just do something like toss a pizza in the oven . Her family was about the opposite so she kinda sees cooking as this thing that needs a lot do planning and steps and it's just easier to microwave something.
It's also weird that she's more of a recipe cook book person and I'm the polar opposite. She needs like these steps and measurements and ingredients...... mean while I'm just here like " aight I got flour water grease meat rice and some seasoning......we can make something with all this mess"
Love her to death but we've had more arguments over her diet then anything else
