Today I was going to pull stumps with my winch and a few blocks. That was canceled because the rope is crushed between and can't pull it out by hand or tractor. Need some ideas.

You mean between the pully frame and wheel? Don't see how that could happen. Are the pully's the kind that you can pull the axle pin to place the rope in the middle of the line?

No I think it's 5/16 rope and I did was grab the line and put it down and let the winch out it worked put you weight into it.

No it was on the drum of the winch.

Pine stumps are a pain! There roots goes everywhere, now I'm trying to get under the stump with a bar.

If you have exhausted all efforts to try to free the crushed rope. I would torch cut it o the drum to loosen it up, because the cable rope won't be any good after what is has been trough.
