That can be half of the battle sometime! haha
I usually don't say this because I don't like the heat, but I hope it stays warm for a while to keep them around.

I would imagine down in GA, you get a lot of good dove hunting in!

Here the doves are everywhere then a week before the opener a cold spell hits and the majority are gone by then.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I have had that also as your southern neighbor before. All the anticipation of driving country roads and seeing the highline wires loaded with them, just for them to dip before season starts.

Teal are way worse than dove when it comes to fronts. We found Teal several years ago and it’s like half the population was hitting this pond. There were so many we called in 3 other hunters to join us, just wanted to share the fun. A front came through that Friday night and Saturday morning we didn’t see a duck!! I mean NOTHING, not even a Woodie!!
We have our local dove population that’s pretty high. Now once November and December gets here and the migrators get here we really have some fun!!

Bluewings are very temperamental when it comes to cooling weather. They can disappear pretty quickly.
HOWEVER, I shot a bluewing in Central North Dakota last year in mid-October. I could hardly believe it.

Also according to what Ducks Unlimited posted on Facebook yesterday, we can probably look at a shortened teal season next year. They will be recommending only a 9 day season.

I love hunting dove and it can be humbling.
My best set ups are at a watering hole between milo stocks and the roost. A couple of dove decoys up high and a blue heron confidence in the water can be a big help in my opinion.
