Some of you may remember a few months ago when I was talking about a 10x20 shed that I would move and use as my new fur shed. Well, some life stuff like car accidents and work got in the way, so that delayed it. About halfway through July, I built my 12x20 skid since the building was a little bigger than 10' wide. When talking to a family friend about moving said shed and having him take a look at it, he told us it would be wise to just start fresh and build it the way we want. With that advice, me and my dad began to price one out and it was way cheaper than we thought and made us feel kind of dumb that we didn't do that from the beginning. Well, a week ago today, we broke ground on this project. We started by framing the walls and getting the skid moved in place to comply with the city code. Now the walls are put, the door is framed, and the purlins are all on. Now we're just waiting for the trusses to be here next week on Tuesday. We're making sure it's very overbuilt so it'll last a very long time. Here are the dimensions for the building. It's going to be 12x20 with an 8' sidewall and I estimate another 3-4' up into the rafters which makes it perfect to use a skinning machine. This is a huge upgrade from my little 7x8x8 shed that I was using before. Anyways, here's the picture of the progress thus far.

Looking good. You might think about that other shed for trap storage, stinky stuff or many other things you never have enough room or the need to separate traps from odors.
I move my 13X40 shed over to my place on a buddies stack mover.

I move my 13X40 shed over to my place on a buddies stack mover. I have that shed and another one, probably going to keep one of the 2 old sheds and use it for storage. I also have that little alley between the garage and the shed that I'm going to store stuff in.

pull of the 2x on the outside framing, put plywood t 1 11 on the side and you would have a home.
I am guessing you are going to tin the building? do your best to mouse prof....

Looks good, our shack is the same idea but a little bigger and 2x6 framing. Insulate and vapour barrier the skid, walls and roof really good too. A candle will be able to heat that thing in winter.

Lighting is expensive look into Amazon LED lights I hear good things about them just bought a pack of 8 footers to try out myself. You get 10 lights for the price of a few fluorescent fixtures.

I am guessing you are going to tin the building? do your best to mouse prof.... Yes, we are going to tin it. We're tinning it how one of our family friends said to do it. We shouldn't have any mice issues as we live in town and have never had a mouse issue around our place. And if we do, it's usually only 1 or 2.

YT, looking good. That little alleyway is going to be full of snow. I figured it would be but I plan to put the stuff like my live traps and stuff I don't need often or can stay outside in it and snow blow out the rest.

We're going to go this year with no insulation in the skid since we just don't have the time but I will be capping the ends of it with lumber to keep wind from getting under it. The rest of the shed will be insulated very well though.

We have some that are 4ft with the bulbs and fixtures and you can daisy chain them together in our garage that we bought for 10$ a piece and plan on putting those in there but I'll look at amazon.
