They contact you if you get the job. Never heard of an employer contacting you to tell you you didn't get considered. At least that was my experience in life around WNY. Hope she finds something soon.

Outdoor recreation with emphasis in winter sports. Not sure how much a demand there is for this type of degree ? Beings her husband is in the military and might transfer again less likey to appeal to anyone for that type of degree as they are usually looking for a longer term hire.

Realize that…but proper etiquette is to at least make contact. In my whole life of 75 yrs,, I've only had ONE co. call and let me know I didn't get the job. I really appreciated it.

Have her contact "The Work Place" on Coffeen Street in Watertown which is the State of New York's Local employment agency.
They will help people with local job searches.
If she is still looking in Late fall Dry Hill Ski area is always a good bet for winter seasonal employment with all the hours you can handle. Tim Mac Afee is the contact person & owner.
In Summer, Seasonal work with NYS Department of Parks, Recreation, Historical Preservation. Thousand Islands Region is available but apply early in December or January.
Contact the Keewaydin State Park regional office in Alexandria Bay.
Salmon season is starting right now down in Pulaski, NY
Try Woody's Tackle in Port Ontario/Pulaski N.Y. they are always looking for good, dependable help, Contact Karen Ashley: owner
The local Hospital is always looking for people 24/7/365.
Contact Samaritan Medical Center: Washington Street
Good Luck.

Navy dependent here retired. Realized right off driving a school bus you always had a job and no child care cost. 23 years and it worked great for us and the kids. Something to think about. There are signs posted all over on parked school buses begging for bus drivers in and around Watertown as we speak !!! w
