After two years of waiting, my wife and I are finally taking our honeymoon. Should be spending the night in Casper Wyoming tonight and Cody tomorrow and slowly make our way over to Yellowstone. Definitely the farthest north I've ever been.

Nice! If you kinda planned your trip, you’ll find that there’s not much time. I found out about so much other cool stuff I wanted to do when I got there…..well, not Yellowstone but close. You’ll find yourself travelling further and further to catch other sites nearby…lol

Yellowstone is magical.

My first job out of high school was working on a horse-mounted trail crew in the North District of Yellowstone Park. I couldn't get over the fact that the government was paying ME to ride horses, camp out and use chain-saws!

Granted, they only paid me $2.98 an hour, but it is still the most awesome job I've ever held! Btw, that was almost 60 years ago!

I think the museum is better than Yellowstone itself.

Saturday night in Casper? I'd be "sneakin into the Becon" for sure!

Yellowstone is beautiful country but be prepared to share it (with idiots LOL)

And don't roller skate in the buffalo herd grin

Have fun. You can't see it all in one day, and outside the park, there isn't enough time in any vacation to see it all.

For your consideration I'd look into the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman and Bear Country down toward West Yellowstone if i remember correctly .

And please don't pet the buffalo ha ha

We are about an hour out from Casper. We definitely plan on going to a lot of the museums you guys have mentioned. Leftlane, my wife and I are going to try and find the Beacon. I could go for a brisket sandwich after the long drive. The country is definitely beautiful up here though.

When in Bozeman stop at the pickle barrel and get a sandwich bring a appetite you'll need it to get through one of their sandwiches and don't forget to grab a pickle out of the barrel ha ha

You won't be hungry after one of their sandwiches , one of the better places to eat in Bozeman , granted I've not been there for a few year's .

West Yellowstone has the best pizza I have ever had, that includes pizza from France. The place is next to the grocery store off the main road. I would think the elk are starting to hurd up good, could be quite the show. Great time of year to see Yellowstone.

See Jeremiah Johnsons grave in Cody. Can't believe I didn't visit on our trip three years ago.

Me and my wife went a couple of years ago and we were not disappointed, but we had a hard time with all the people everywhere. We spent more time in the Tetons than in Yellowstone the crowds were not nearly as bad. Buy your snacks and drinks ahead of time they are pretty expensive once inside the park. Yellowstone is huge. We were there for three days and didn't see the entire park. There are some apps that you can download that will help you navigate the park. I highly recommend.

Be sure to hit the Lamar Valley at daylight and take a spotting scope, tons of wildlife to see.

As some others said, be prepared for crowds including lots of foreigners and then there are the idiots. Every year we hear on our local news about people getting gored or stomped on doing stupid things with animals. However, still worth the trip to see it once.
