What brand hip boots are best these days? Longest lasting and rugged.

I got a pair of Rangers several years ago and they are still riding for the brand. Longest lasting hip boots I’ve ever had. Comfortable too.

I like Lacrosse Trapline boots, they stay up nice without hooking to your belt, easy to patch with Aquaseal if needed.

Dans as well. Great products.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

I just added more tire patches to my old lacrosse hip boots, which always gets me to thinkin' 'bout getting a pair of Dans.

Are they kind of two piece, a liner and then a briar proof pant leg over top?
Or are the layers attached together?
I've never seen a pair in real life, just the same few advertising photos online.

Like a pant leg over the boot, it’s sewn to the boot about 4” down from the top. It 2 separate layers.

Thanks! I really appreciate it!

That's how I assumed they were put together, but I read something a while ago that made me question it.

Thanks again.

Lacross trapline for me. Snug fit on foot. Stand up without attaching top of boot to waist belt. Fairly thick without feeling weighted down while walking.
