what I want to know is can I shoot it

if all these things came with as long as it is where you have permission to hunt finders keepers

there has to be a couple hundred pounds of meat to get off that

how much different can it be than a cow to butcher

and yes 308 is my go to cow gun not that I shoot them from very far.

A wounded buffalo could be a problem. Ppl who cannot track something that large is most definitely a problem.

ate it plenty of times in Asia...not very good unless penned up and grain fed. Then slow cooked its good. Father in law plows with one. Usually pretty docile unless theres a male, female situation with female in heat. They are about like a cow.

This one looks pretty lean and yeah the fact that they’re having to use drones to find it again is pretty bad.

They sell lots of water buffalo at the Mt.Hope Exotic Sale Auction. They usually have both the domestic River and domestic Swamp buffalo varieties and some Cape buffalo. At least the ones in the auction, are mostly broke to lead and would not probably be hard to catch. Some are sold as broke to pull.

This one may have been decent but after being shot, he’s not now.

The blood behind the front leg looked like it was in the right spot. The video says it was shot by police with a shotgun. It should be dead I would think.

I have nothing clever to put here.

The blood appears to be coming from a "spot" rather than an "area". Who knows I guess.

I know it’s sad when the officer can’t say what he had loaded in his gun, I just thought of it could have be a rubber slug that probably would break the hide but it’s not supposed to kill.

even buck shot in a leg hit will bleed on for a while but go for hours I have seen slug shot deer that went hours as well , couple years ago my cousin shot one we saw 2 holes in on the same side , we were following a blood trail in the snow and jumped it , we know the guy from another party that had a 12ga slug in it
my cousin spine it and we walked up and finished it.

we told the guy who had the first slug in it how many points it had , 7 and that guy was sure he shot a 12 and kept looking , it had a big body

cleaning it he found the other guys 12ga slug and his 20ga slug both went in neither came out.

I used to make yogurt out of water buffalo milk when I lived in Ecuador. About 10% butterfat content of the milk.
