Anyone notice that they shrunk approximately 1/3 of the size they were? Gee I wonder why?????????

Remember when groceries averaged about $10 a bag?

I remember packing groceries as a kid and feeling sorry for people whose grocery bills were over 100 dollars and they had 2 carts of groceries. A top brand of butter was 8.79 a pound at one store today.

I remember my mother's entire monthly grocery budget being $200 and she fed three boys plus preacher's, deacons, teachers kids that always showed up at supper time.

I was just talking to girl a checkout about paper bags..

Around here it’s hard to find paper most is plastic.

Some stores here have full size bags. Dollar general has smaller ones with handles you only try to use once lol

Some stores here don’t even have bags anymore. Gotta bring your own stuff to carry them in.

I bought $84.00 and some change "worth" of groceries today at Kroger and carried it all in with all the loops of the bags hooked on my right index finger. Groceries are too expensive now.

At our Pick-n-Save they just eliminated the handles on the paper bags.

Our local grocery store gets ornery if we ask for paper.

we have to pay 10 cents per bag in WA

Where I shop and get paper bags, the bags have not shrunk but the strength and quality has been way down the last several years.

I haven't been to WA in 20+ years but from what I remember of the women there, 10 cents is a small price to pay to make them look good.

Plastic dont work good for that,,,,,,,
