I wouldn't follow a wounded buffalo into a standing corn field. That corn is 10' high and you can't see very far through it.

I've seen cows get out a time or two this time of year and not all get recovered until fall because they got into the corn.
Huge cornfields with a crick running through here and there for water and that buffalo can live unseen for a long time.
