A nice young couple, who I've known for around 5 years or 6 years, has a very good homesteading channel on YouTube. Cody and Michelle live 8.3 miles from my farm. I met them through buying their older cull layers, back when they were doing online farmers markets and some physical farm markets. The markets became to much for them and Cody had to get a job off farm. I suggested that they should start a YouTube channel Cody told me they had been looking into it. They started a channel and it is very good and doing very well. I was there back on Tuesday.
They are really nice people, who keep a beautiful homestead. Cody works very hard. Their kids are very nice and becoming good workers too. Everytime I go there, Cody and I end up talking for a long time. Cody is supposed to be getting some elderberry bushes from me next week.
Michelle gave me some of her raspberry lemonade concentrate, that she makes in one of their more recent videos.
The chickens from their more recent videos are in one of my barns right now.
They're probably my wife's favorite as far as gardening and homesteading goes.They come across as really down to earth.
Cody and Michelle act very much the same in real life as in the show. They work very hard. Their place looks nice in the show, but even better in person. They've done a lot while I've known them. Cody is an excellent builder. They take great care of their animals. Their kids are cute and helpful. I like them a lot.
This was filmed last Tuesday. At 31 minutes Cody mentions me coming to get the chickens, but not by name. We just got an egg from one of the old chickens today.
I arrived just shortly after Cody and Michelle finished filming. Cody was carrying the misshapen comb, mentioned in the video, out when I arrived, Cowboy, the female dog in the videos, stole a piece of comb.
Diane and I are going to enjoy a nice glass of the raspberry lemonade shown in the video later this evening.
