I have many Hawbaker catalogs going back to the 50s and never saw it advertised. There were 2 in an online auction and I didnt get them. They were 2 half moon wire rods, one pulled back with a bait holder with the rest being wood with (my title) stamped into the wood. Anybody know anything about it?

Never heard of it. Beware buying items that can be faked. Ed hutzel and others have made many fakes sold as the real thing for big money.

I suppose it could have been faked. On the other side of the coin it could have been extremely rare, possibly outlawed after a year or 2 of production because of lack of interest or state laws too?
