One of the lights on my older boat trailer is not working. I was going tp check the bulbs, but a friend of mine said I should replace the lights with LED lights. Less maintenance he said. Anybody familiar with these lights and recommend them?
My doctor suggested I start doing squats, so I moved all the beer to the bottom shelf of my fridge.

It is getting harder to find the old incandescent ones. Most of the new ones , I believe are LED. In theory, they should last longer. However, I believe if they go bad, you have to replace the entire tail light?

However, I believe if they go bad, you have to replace the entire tail light? That's what my friend told me. It's hard to even find the old incandescent ones anymore. I'm definitely going to go with the LEDs.

yes have them on y boat trailer and utility trailer now https://www.amazon.com/Partsam-Subm...t/dp/B014PCL7Y6?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1if you don't need new wiring , if you do , it is a little more money I was getting them with the wiring every time but I have decent wiring on the trailer from the last set but I dropped a log on one nothing saves any of them if you drop a log on the light solder and heat shrink your connections and they seem to the the most impervious to weather and backing in to the boat launch

The better question is why haven't you switched over to the LED lights ha ha Try finding the lens covers for your boat or even a camper you can't for a reasonable price .
So yes make the switch you'll be glad you did !
You're friend along the snare line . Allan

when you can buy the entire kit with all new wires and lights for about 30 dollars , hunting for an issue is not very cost effective unless you can find it in 5 minutes
so if you spent 5 minutes with the meter and you have power at the connector and not at the light
or you have it at the light but the light isn't working
you can just replace it very fast with the new kit.

change to LED and never look back. maintenance free and more reliable. Go LED> I had 2 boxes of bulbs in the truck and was constantly changing them. Yet to change a LED to date.

A new 1157 light bulb is about $1.50. Unplug your lights before backing into the water prevents replacement.

I've had my LEDs on my old boat trailer 8-10 years now. Haven't had to touch them. They get dunked 80-100 times a year.

I'm going to order them through my wife's Amazon account.
