Don't see it super often. Tug and a tow doing a tandem haul. But it's near when you do. Whole dang refinery section.

I can definitely see all that sticking up catching the wind creating the need for better steering.

With the power just to the rear it looks like a big weathervane.

Think it's a safety thing..the tow boats can really see though that and the tug can control it as well as the tow boat
