A re-badged Isuzu pickup. Was a good truck for the era.

I always wanted to go to Canada and get a Mercury tailgate from a junkyard for my '68 Ford F-100. Most U.S. citizens have never heard of a Mercury pickup. It would have turned heads for sure here.

My first one was a 1969 GMC 1/2 ton with carpet and a special paint job.
It was one of the first trucks with carpet, I got laughed at a lot because it had carpet in it.
I bought it off the showroom floor. The color was red-orange, it was noticeable from a distance.
It had a 350 V8 engine in it.

1948 International KB1. Flat head 6 with a 6 volt system and vacuum windshield wiper.
Bought it when I was a junior in high school and drove it for 3 years.

my old power mechanic teacher had a 49 merc 1/2 ton that everytime he took it to the states they would steal his tail gate!!
when he was ready to let it go i had a guy drive up with a trailer from pennsylvania and took it home

'68 C-10, 283 CI, 3 on the tree, manual choke, eventually was a POS, BUT, man I loved it!

62 Chevy. Step side. 6 banger 3 on the tree . Wish I had it now.

1966 gmc 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive 305 v6 engine with a 4speed stick shift paid $600 for it.

1968 F100 with a 360 and automatic, but 2 wheel drive. Got in and out of a few places I shouldn’t have tried to go .

‘77 Chevrolet long bed with three on the tree. It was a beautiful battleship grey color too, lol.

What a fun thread, I must like trucks I have 7 myself and wife has one. Probably have had 40 plus over the years.

Don’t remember the model year but it was an international with a very small straight six and top speed of 45.
Also had a 71 ford ranger for a work truck. Got that for $1 from the guy I worked with when he lost his license to DUI and couldn’t drive it. Sold it to me for a $1 with stipulation I take him to work daily and help him keep it running. We had all of our framing tools in that truck and both needed it. Spent a lot of time in junkyard looking for parts for that thing.

1989 Ford F-150 4x4. Ended up lifting it 6in and putting 37's on it. Still have it.

1979 Chevy 1500 4x4 4 speed. Good old truck but hard on fuel. Ended up selling it and buying a 95 f150 4x4 5 speed.

‘65 Chevy 3/4ton 283 and a four speed, loved that truck

1979 F150 4X4 short bed, small lift 35" mudders, 429 ci big block, balanced, blue printed, high rise aluminum intake, 750 Holley double pumper 4 barrel, dark charcoal gray, past everything but a gas station.
