I thought I saw them on their approved list but they’re not on there. I saw a discussion about high quality wolf traps somewhere and the springs being way too strong during tests at the lab but can’t recall where? I reached out to Doug at FIC regarding this, or if they were even in the testing phase.
Any info on this?

Man, I am going to watch this.

Best wolf trap ever IMO, for what I need.
Surpasses the AK 9, by far in functionality through freeze and thaw weather by a long shot, in my experience with the big coils.

And I came across this the other day, when looking to add a few to my inventory.

The Koro I have known was dogless. That thing in the link isn’t the same trap.

I have heard this, If my memory serves me correctly I heard the maker of Koro said he wouldn't weaken the springs. But I have also heard a couple of Idaho guys say that they really like their Koros... but the springs are a little weak. So maybe he did weaken the springs trying to suck up to the Canadian authorities in order to be able to sell it in his own country?

I've not used any myself, I really like the looks of the few I've seen, and like a dogless design myself. That link you posted, mad mike, says it is a dogless trap, though the picture clearly shows a dog on trap. Makes me think they have the wrong picture attached, although I was unaware that Koro made any dog on traps, I had heard a few years ago that they were going to come out with a coyote trap, perhaps that is what the picture is of? Also notice the price has went up a tad, last I checked they were 120-140 apiece.

Koro's own website shows the normal dogless wolf trap I am used to.

https://korotraps.com/product/the-koro-wolf/

That is also the only foothold they show, and they don't list the supplier you posted the link to under their dealers, so I'm not sure what is going on.

As a bit of history. Many years ago i use to supply Koro with AK 9's. After a year or two, they asked me to. Try to get them certified. I had no interest in doing that or paying for the cost. (BMP is a step closer to loosing trapping). After a few years of suppling Koro with AK 9. one year did not receive a request for a new supply. Though trappers talking, i discovered Koro used the AK 9 as their pattern for their own trap. The Koro, which is the one in the link mad_mike provided.
You know you have a great product when other manufactures are trying to copy you.

The trap in the link is a different trap.
James said he’s never sent one into FIC for certification yet but plans to, when he gets time. So these things are wall hangers for me right now.
I was told by him that he believed that I could still use them but got confirmation yesterday from the sarge in my area that they’re a no go until certified.

I could have sworn there was a podcast with Trapper's Inc. And James Karo talking about getting them certified and at that time they had been sent in but there were some reasons why they weren't. For a while Canadians could use them because there weren't enough wolf traps certified. But once they got enough certified they cut that off. Of course they certified traps like the Victor 3. Pretty sure that money is one of the deciding factors in who gets certified.

I talked to Kyle Lay about his trails getting the Lay wolf trap certified and it sounded like a major headache. Turned out that their pressure Gauge they were using to measure how many foot pounds or whatever was applied to the animals foot was broken, and he had to buy a new one and send it to them in order to get his trap certified.

Maybe that’s where I heard it, I’ll have to look through Rich’s podcasts.
The only guys who know the cost is the makers. FIC is pretty tight lipped about traps they’re even testing right now, Doug Told me that I’d have to reach out to the maker. James was at Sioux Falls on the Saturday but couldn’t hook up with him.
