We used the crimp on style as I have those tools but not ex-pander style.
My water source is about 400 yards long and about 300 yards or so already buried. with splices 100 feet apart as that was the longest pieces I could source local. we will be wrapping ALL of the spices with silicone tape as Shark Bite says to do and hope for the best. next time dont buy from Home depo off the shelve..... pex/apollo style pipe can be purchased in longer rolls.........

Not sure I saw Pex plastic fittings . Where do you find those? All the major home improvement stores carry them here.

If they are like the ones above I don't think are compatible as the rings have to be expanded to fit over the joint.think we are running into the A type vs B type.

Use Pex A fittings for Pex A pipe. Use Pex B fittings for Pex B pipe. I know that Pex B fittings come in plastic. It would appear that Pex A fittings come in plastic from providence's picture of plastic expansion rings on plastic fittings?

You can get plastic barbed fittings for pex tubing at TSC or most feed and farm stores. Are those crimp on or do you have to use the expander tool?

You can get plastic barbed fittings for pex tubing at TSC or most feed and farm stores. Are those crimp on or do you have to use the expander tool? those are crimp. the benefit of using expansion fitting is, you do not decrees the interior circumference of the pipe at intersections.
