Use your favorite dill pickle recipe and add jalapeños. I took the dill out and added jalapeños and they were great

Don't know if you can find Penrose pickled sausage in a jar up there, but the best eggs I have ever ate were put in the juice when the sausages were gone. Those gallon jars full of eggs were on the counter of every bar around. One even put a horseradish root in it, that would open your sinuses up!

My wife and I make pickled beets by equal parts purple beet juice, white vinegar and sugar. Put beets in pint jars, top with the mix of beet juice vinegar and sugar which is heated to dissolve the sugar, then hot water bath. We can a few with just the juice for when we make pickled eggs. If too sweet cut back on sugar.

You just need to buy more pickles!

This sounds like a good recipe. I would cut the sugar in half (my preference).
