I’ve tried most everything and it still seems to end up a slight bit gummy versus fresh. Still tastes good. We just put 5-6 ears each in a Ziploc freezer bag now versus vac sealing. Generally freeze a couple hundred ears a year.

Lightly rinse the corn husk and pat dry, put them in freezer zip-lock bags and freeze. For quick cook, take out of husk, put in dish and microwave (1500 watts) for 3 minutes for each ear of corn. :-)

Another vote for blanch, cut off cob, and put in a ziplock and freeze. We would do a few on the cob but cob takes up a lot of freezer room. Canning is a great way to go too.

I prefer to pressure can corn. Did 44 pints recently. I don't like freezing corn or green beans.

Wouldn't it be better to microwave with the husk on?
Pull off husk and silk in one step?

I've tried it everyway that's mentioned, to me the best is husk, par boil, strip off cob, put in vacuum seal bags, freeze to the point the juice is too thick to flow, and vacuum seal.
Ruined a few vacuum sealers with the juice flowing into the machine.
Haven't tried the with husk on and vacuum sealed though.

We do more than blanch. We cook for 15-20 minutes, put in cold water, and cool down cut off the cob and freeze in pint bags. All we do then is heat it up later and it tastes just like fresh to me. Takes up way less space as well.

Not that I’ve found. I also do not cut the corn off the cob😃

All we do is cut off cob put in Ziploc bag. And in the frezzer. If you don't think it works just try it you won't do it any other way quick and easy.

Pretty much what we do. Leave the husk on, cut off the ends. We put 4 ears to a Ziploc brand bag. Take a straw and suck as much air out you can. Freeze. It may not be fresh, but in january its pretty darn good. We like Honey select.
