Bryce, the Phillies have 3 games in Milwaukee coming up, should be a good series.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

What are they saying about Harper? I saw he was out of the game after HBP when I watched the highlights.

Sounds like he is okay, I think he plans on playing tomorrow. The Cubs are rolling tonight.

Good news on Harper.

Cubs are looking good so far but they could of added on last inning but probably some antiquated unwritten rule that you shouldn't steal a bag with a 9 run lead, probably came from the manager. frown

Imanaga with 6 shut out innings so far...

Brewers lose another extra inning game. Not good to lose but our young team needs to know how to battle in these tight games down the stretch. Late innings bullpen is letting the team down. Not a good sign when playing the best teams in the league.

I disagree. It is the offense that is letting down the team. Last night, they were 0 for 15 with RISP. Relief pitching pitched six innings and gave up one unearned run. Bullpen was lights out. Offense never turned the lights on.

The night before they were 2 for 11 with RISP. Bullpen pitched 7 innings and gave up 4 runs (1 earned). That alone says defense caused the loss more than the pitching. Brewers don't commit a lot of errors so again uncharacteristic.

The cards have taken out the brewers hottest hitter late in the game by walking the rookie Chourio. They have done it both nights. Hoskins has been in a terrible slump and William Contreras is slumping as well. Both are due to break out soon. Offense will go on a tear when that happens. Not getting a hit with RISP is uncharacteristic as the team is in top 3 for batting average with runners in scoring position. Last I checked, they were hitting over 270 as a team w/ RISP for the year.

So offense hits under .100 for two games with runners in scoring position and bullpen pitches 13 innings with 1 earned run. I know about 30 other teams that would be clamoring for that bullpen and about 30 that wouldn't want that offense we saw the last two nights.

Young teams often look better than they really are too. It'll show how good they actually are when opposing teams learn how to pitch to them, find their weaknesses and exploit them. Cubs have a couple guys that fit that description as well. They look great right now though.

Phillies need to ramp up run production, one run isn't a very comfortable lead.

Friday was a great day for the teams I root for, the Phillies won and the Eagles beat the Packers. I hope Penn State and the Phillies make an enjoyable Saturday for me.

Wisconsin teams all took it on the chin. Packers QB gets hurt at the end of a beating from the Eagles and brewers starting pitcher gives up a three run bomb late to the lowly Rockies. Get beat by a team with three hits because they could only muster 4.

Brewers lost 4 of 5 and I still feel better about them than the packers. Brewers haven’t lost 4 games in a row all season, but they very well might tonight with how bad guys are slumping. I would say they are due for a breakout game, but usually that comes after guys hit balls hard right at people for outs. They are not doing that to give me confidence.

Brewers hit three dingers last night and snap the three game losing streak. Finally got some production out of folks besides Chourio. Bullpen gave up one run in three innings of work.

Don't know who looked worse yesterday, Penn State or the Phillies?

Gone to the WTA for 4 days. Not a good home stand for the Brewers. Now they travel and have some games against better teams. They need to get back into their game again. Yes, just heard about the Packers QB injury and loss. Lot of investment in a franchise player with injuries right out of the chute.

Yankees out hit the Cubs 6-3 but the Cubs scored two runs and they only scored one. Cubs offence needs to step it up. They scored 41 runs a couple 3 game series' ago and scored two runs in this last three games.
