Brewers lose another extra inning game. Not good to lose but our young team needs to know how to battle in these tight games down the stretch. Late innings bullpen is letting the team down. Not a good sign when playing the best teams in the league.

I disagree. It is the offense that is letting down the team. Last night, they were 0 for 15 with RISP. Relief pitching pitched six innings and gave up one unearned run. Bullpen was lights out. Offense never turned the lights on.
The night before they were 2 for 11 with RISP. Bullpen pitched 7 innings and gave up 4 runs (1 earned). That alone says defense caused the loss more than the pitching. Brewers don't commit a lot of errors so again uncharacteristic.
The cards have taken out the brewers hottest hitter late in the game by walking the rookie Chourio. They have done it both nights. Hoskins has been in a terrible slump and William Contreras is slumping as well. Both are due to break out soon. Offense will go on a tear when that happens. Not getting a hit with RISP is uncharacteristic as the team is in top 3 for batting average with runners in scoring position. Last I checked, they were hitting over 270 as a team w/ RISP for the year.
So offense hits under .100 for two games with runners in scoring position and bullpen pitches 13 innings with 1 earned run. I know about 30 other teams that would be clamoring for that bullpen and about 30 that wouldn't want that offense we saw the last two nights.
