I'd like just a few rats, a couple coon and 1 nice mink. Plans are mittens made from rats, hat made from the coon, and 1 of each skinned, tanned and hung on the wall for a display.

That sounds like a great plan.

Less beaver, more marten/fisher, wolf, fox, mink, and going to try for more coyotes west of the shack. There’s cats close by but haven’t seen any tracks near the line. The line will tell me what to do.

for me it's just removing varmints. finally had more yotes move in about 3 weeks ago. took longer than I thought it would . if we catch them early they will be easier to catch but fur won't be prime. if we catch them late they will be rubbed. mid season we are to busy killing deer and cutting wood. so you can see they are going to the dead pit 90% chance. no market for coon or possum and not worth the few mins to skin so the same there.

now If I catch a few beaver for friends those I will keep.

I'd like a beaver too. Just not really any around me that I know.

Got a freezer full of beaver that need to get put up. I won't be chasing many of them this fall unless there are some problems that need to be taken care of. A couple of cats and fisher would be nice also. You could throw a couple otter in as well.

Have fun doing something I enjoy doing in the dead of winter
My fur goes to the craft market or personal use. And I can wait until it's prime

A friend of mine wants to get in to trapping and making things from fur and such, so I told him I'll help him out. With my own health problems I haven't been able to get out there much but he's a younger guy and he'll carry the load and I'll be the brains (we're in trouble now) Get started this month, set him up with traps, snares and such. Check what lures I still have, need etc. Laws and regs. have changed here but for my part I should be grandfathered in, he'll have to take care of his end (trapper ed, etc). We'll mark the traps so's there's no confusion (had "partners" before) Looking forward to it, even have a box of furs tanned at Moyles to get him going

I plan to hit the home farm hard this year. I lost a ton of poultry to varmints this summer. I think I would rather trap them in the winter than deal with them in the summer. I know more stuff can move it but maybe it won't be this bad.

Got a few camping trips planned with the kids as long as it doesn't get too frigid too fast. Set up a tent for a long weekend, check traps in the mornings, skin, sit by a fire, eat good food.

Predator removal for me. Especially coons. Tons of them on trail cameras. Will also try to eliminate a few coyotes and bobcats.

Excellent plan. Take plenty of pics. The kids will appreciate them years from now. And so will you.

Beaver, rats, mink, and coon with a few mangey coyotes. I don't have many farms but I'm going all out on all of them. Hoping for a cat tag this year. I either get a tag and cannot connect or catch a cat without a tag....

Just passin through

My plan is to disrupt the lives of an entire wolf pack again this year.
