First time using one of these. It's a 5' KingKutter reverse tiller. Pulled it with my 57 hp New Holland.

Fantastic job it does. Should've acquired one of these long ago.

This was one pass on this half acre food plot (it was weeds/grasses 12" tall). Could've done this with disk harrows, but not this good with one pass. Haven't hit a stump yet, but I spun the slip clutch yesterday and re-adjusted it to make sure it's working.

We have had a KingKutter for 6 years. Yes we are happy with ours for our two gardens and other jobs. We can work in a lot of compost with that machine and then I use my smaller rear tine tiller to work things up some more and also for weed control.

Probably be a fall mix (rye, wheat, oats, clover mix).

My wife bought me a 7' KingKutter for father's day 2021 and wish I had got one sooner. Makes doing the garden a whole lot easier.

No plot this year. Allowed last year's rye to seed. Some always comes up.
Plan to hit'em hard with corn. Plus i get a pile of coons to fill my superbowl orders. At $57 bag for rye. I'll pass.

This one had been sitting unused for over 3 years.

Thick rust was building up on the skids and the blades that were touching the ground as it was directly on the ground.

PTO shaft was bad rusty, slip clutch was seized up, and the gear boxes' lube was milky.

After a few days of maintenance....it's back in business!!

They are nice, just don't overdo it. Those things overdone and at the wrong time can turn good soil into dust.

As long as we keep getting these rains....seed beds should be great.

If we hit a drought stretch....disking or tilling = available moisture gone.

Looks way sandier than my clay. I bet moisture can be a real issue in sandy soils.

At least it's flat and not as prone to washing away.
