My goodness, this has to be the saddest, lamest, worstest thread I’ve ever seen on T’man - evah! Mods, please give it the axe. Stop ending threads because of feelings. "I don't like this so nobody should be able to read it!" Grow up. Oh, I don’t necessarily disagree with any of it, just think it is a foolish thread to be getting so many comments. All the T-man usual suspects arguing about it, as usual. I’m waiting for the “my dad can beat up your dad” thread to start. lol.

Not at all. I just gave my opinion that this is a foolish post, apparently that triggered a few on here. I come here to read posts that are entertaining or informative, this one is neither. Of course I don’t have to read it, and I won’t. So carry on.

A man is more likely to be whipped if they have children together. A man would crawl through the fires of Hattie's for their child. Not much more enjoyable than coming home to the smiling faces of your children
at least 30% of men find out those children are not really his. This is a direct result of her loosing respect for a weak male and cheating happens. thousands of stories of this happening and only found out when the family does the DNA find where you came from test or when there is a medical issue and dad finds out he is not a match and there is only one reason why. What? PF, please post a source on that. I think (hope) I'm good. My poor kids look like me. A tragedy.

I can’t wrap my head around something and can’t seem to shake it.
I’ve got a couple of hunting and fishing buddies that have to ‘ask permission’ if they can go hunt or fish. If the wife complains too much, they’ll bow out or cancel. Just can’t fathom this.
I spend time with my wife during the offseason and often do things that wouldn’t be high on my list like an occasional road trip to a winery and stuff like that, but she knows that Spring time is turkey hunting, shad runs, crappie fishing and bass spawning time. Fall is dove, archery, ML, duck season and checking traps. She doesn’t make any plans for us during these seasons and just assumes that I’m outdoors. She’s never made a face or complained.
I will say I’ve always made Holidays a family priority and always put kids’ school and sports first, but outside of that, I’m outside when I need to be.
Any of y’all deal with this kind of thing at home or with friends?? If it does affect you, why do you even care? Asking for a friend.

I didn’t know that the post would create this kinda poop storm and never intended for it to be disrespectful towards wives or marriage.
It does affect me when you invite me to do something, I make plans to be away from my family and you bail because you were guilted out of something. Along with that, I hear often from friends and coworkers that they have to ask ‘for permission’ to do something. Why??? Also, this isn’t generally tongue in cheek. They seem to really mean it.
This thing has two sides. My wife of 27 years doesn’t ask my permission either. We let each other know our intentions BEFORE we’ve agreed or planned stuff with others to ensure that there’s nothing else that was already planned.
Again, perhaps choosing the word WHIPPED was wrong and I could have founded something a little softer.
I think all the responses are funny. Great entertainment to burn some time. Lol

There has been a push recently for girlfriends/wifes to get a guy to get rid of their video game console.
What real man even has a video game console ? You've got to be kidding me, right ? That's there is just another reason our country is circling the toilet bowl !!!!

I think the key is to marry someone who likes to do most of the same things you like to do. My wife loves to fish summer and winter. I met her the first day after Christmas. I asked her for a date. I suggested a movie or jokingly said ice fishing. She chose ice fishing. I knew she was a keeper.
She used to deer hunt with me until she had a hip replacement and it was too difficult for her to climb in her deer stand. But, she knows how much I like to hunt and encourages me to go.

I don't think the word "whipped" is wrong. It's just accurate. There are a lot of men out there who take orders from their wives like she is his mother. I laugh when I see it. I thought the man was supposed to be the leader of the household.

You have to lay down the law to the woman of today or thete will walk all over you. It's hard for a man to find a real woman today, and hard for a woman to find a real man. If a good man and a good woman find each other, there is no need to lay down the law. If one has to lay down the law, they really should evaluate that relationship and decide if it should really go on any further.
