Did an hour or so of fishing before lunch and will go this evening for a couple of hours again. Did some things around the place today so didn't get much done but putz. Going to head to the ranch in the morning early and do some work for the day.

I taught some people some stuff at work. Then got the kids from school. Getting ready for a yard sale at my brothers this weekend.

Replaced a double row of VCT to match existing after an Interior Drainage System & Sump install in a customers basement.

Worked ....loading some stuff up and heading out to elk camp for 3 days

Dyed and waxed a few leftover traps from this summer.
Picked the rest of the acorn squash to put up tomorrow
Welded John Deere lawnmower deck up for friend.
Did a little reading
Shot the compound bow and crossbow
Fixed a couple arrows
Picked up both Great grandkids
Made dinner
Cleaned up
Now I'm exercising my thumbs typing this on my phone

Not much. Went to Dr. Appt. this morning in a torrential downpour then came home and watched the rain the rest of the day while doing schoolwork. At least the rain cooled it down by about 20 degrees.

Rolled up some snares then made and ate some chicken.

Helped renter get the flex head out of the machine shed, then went to town to get fitted for a suit coat for daughters wedding in October. Came home and relaxed my cracked rib a while and went to the farm and discovered the wind blew over a 80 foot cottenwood across the road. Painfully fired up the chain saw and got it cut back enough to get it off the road. Now going to make a blt with home made bacon and fresh garden tomatoes. Then go to bed and try to get a little sleep. Cracked ribs suck!

Changed poopy diaper at 545am. Helped the wife out the door after breakfast. Parents took my two boys. Put a gutter over the back door Just redid the whole outside siding/window/soffits so the eaves have no gutters yet. Put first coat of mud on my drywall return on the windows inside. 11 windows. Packed for the weekend. Heading to the front with the bow but if I feel the urge I might gun one down with the flintlock. Canned 9 jars of tomatoes. Cooked elk spaghetti for the fam. Mommy will be home soon. Off to the woods tomorrow!

Made iron for 12 hours. Now drinkin a couple beers.

Oil change on the Tacoma today light came on when I was heading home the other day.

Finished changing gear oil in pto tiller, after going to town and purchasing an oil siphon.

Moved a big hopper (600lb) deer feeder on one of my leases near my home. Put 150lbs corn in it.

11.5 hrs of kscity traffic. horrible. road construction lane closures idiots trying to cut each other off. loading in a residential area. narrow streets backing around parked cars and into cul de sacs. it was bad. been bad all week. should finish tomorrow.

Had internal battles over whether to add another dog to our family.
Still struggling.
Had a litter of GSP’s at work yesterday and one in particular really tugged at my heartstrings.
Is it ever a “good time” to get a puppy? Probably not.
I don’t have puppy fever but I want that friendship again. I miss my Sampson; it’s been over a year.
Chuckie and I have to sort things out. We are on two different spectrums and we both see each other’s points but can’t seem to come to an agreement. I feel selfish and confused.

Shipped a couple steers and then made some hay.
