How can any of the cities getting a large groups of immigrants afford it. The federal govt must be footing the bill. Can a state not just say no benefits or money for the immigrants?
Here is one thing that is going on , and I bet it has happened in Springfield. Springfield used to have a population of 80k , then with loss of jobs , dropped to 60k
With the loss of jobs people moved away. Glut of cheap houses followed. They were bought up on the cheap covertly under shell companies or LLC's. Some of these are owned by town leaders and other people who then encourage to be sent illegals and are making a killing on the federal funds to house the illegals.
Something like a third of the hotels in NYC are being used to house illegals. Imagine owning a hotel that has 100% occupancy every day. Then picture it being over capacity every day. Then figure in getting paid 200%-300% over going rates to house illegals by the government. It is a huge money making machine.

The hard part is finding someone with huge pockets to loan you say , $100 million.
Take the $100 million and use it to buy a smaller , less nicer hotel in NYC. Fill it with illegals. Get massive funds from the government to house them. Get more money by feeding them 3 meals a day. Get funding for day care , social services , immigrant ESL classes , transportation services and basic medical care , plus many more things that the government will pay for and maybe even provide resources.
I bet even with the high costs of huge amounts of maintenance as these places get trashed , tons of security and other staffing and the high costs of being in NYC , I bet you could pay off the $100 million borrowed in 5 years.
Sell the hotel and move somewhere remote on a 20,000 acre ranch with a massive house . Live very comfortable for the rest of your life.

Some of the other Caribbean islanders use opossum penises and fangs, but I don't know if Haitans do. I would guess they do though.
All the various voodoo like religions, such as vodou, voodun, santos and santaria have a lot of similarities. Like Christians, they focus on their differences.

Tell more about the demand for possum pecker I may be rich
I had a voodoo guy from the Dominican Republic, which is on the same island as Haiti ask me about getting him live opossums about 5 years ago. I told him I could sell him dead opossums in season. That was okay for the opossum fangs, but not for the penises, for some magical reason. I never ended up selling him any opposums or parts.
I mostly sell to.people who do straight voodoo, vudun, santos and santeria. I don't think I have sold any animals to people doing Haitan vodou.
In all of those religions, roosters are the most commonly used animal. Roosters are mostly used for yes/no questions. The practitioners like bantam roosters because they are lighter to hold up and easier to kill, without letting the blood spill. Most throw 4 pieces of coconut, but some throw bones, tiles, shells or sticks. Basically they wring off the head of the rooster with their right hand, while holding all the blood in with their left hand, while holding the rooster above their head. They say a long prayer to their Santo, or equivalent, who is basically a Catholic saint combined with an African deity. They follow that with a yes/no question Then with their right hand they roll the 4 pieces of coconut, bones, tiles, shells or sticks. All the items rolled have a positive side and a negative side.
The best yes answer results from 2 positive and 2 negative sides landing up, because the answer is balanced. 3 and 4 positives up is a yes, too. 3 negatives up is a no. 4 negatives up is a bad no.
If the user gets a bad no, they have 2 options. First, they can lay the dead rooster out, in a pristine wild place, like a woods. Until the soul completely leaves the dead rooster, which they believe happens when the rooster stops rotting and smelling bad, they will have misfortune. The second option is to see their witch doctor equivalent, find out what they need to fix themselves or their environment and then see basically their pharmacist, to purchase what they need. I am the pharmacist.
Their witch doctor may say that they need a chick for rejuvenation, a white pigeon for farseeing, a colored pigeon to clean bad energy out of their house, a guinea for strength, a hen to feed their saint, a red rooster in the Spring, a white rooster in the Summer or black rooster in the Fall to restore their manhood, a quail to repair feminine relationships and so on.

Have you heard about the town in Pennsylvania of 4000 that the government dumped 2000 Haitans on. Kindergarten went from 60 kids to 105. Unbelievable!!!
What is the name of the town?
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

It's Charleroi, PA. The democrats filled it full of Haitans and Liberians.

Liberal, rich white people will probably see the video of the dirt cookies and make it a new liberal craze. The dirt poor Haitans won't be able to afford the price of the dirt anymore.

"The discrimination faced by the famine refugees was not subtle or insidious. It was right there in black and white, in newspaper classified advertisements that blared “No Irish Need Apply.” The image of the simian Irishman, imported from Victorian England, was given new life by the pens of illustrators such as Thomas Nast that dripped with prejudice as they sketched Celtic ape-men with sloping foreheads and monstrous appearances.
In 1849, a clandestine fraternal society of native-born Protestant men called the Order of the Star Spangled Banner formed in New York. Bound by sacred oaths and secret passwords, its members wanted a return to the America they once knew, a land of “Temperance, Liberty and Protestantism.” Similar secret societies with menacing names like the Black Snakes and Rough and Readies sprouted across the country.
Within a few years, these societies coalesced around the anti-Catholic, anti-immigrant American Party, whose members were called the “Know-Nothings” because they claimed to “know nothing” when questioned about their politics. Party members vowed to elect only native-born citizens—but only if they weren’t Roman Catholic. “Know-Nothings believed that Protestantism defined American society. From this flowed their fundamental belief that Catholicism was incompatible with basic American values,” writes Jay P. Dolan in The Irish Americans: A History.
Buoyed by the war-cry “Americans must rule America!”, the Know-Nothings elected eight governors, more than 100 congressmen and mayors of cities including Boston, Philadelphia and Chicago in the mid-1850s. They found their greatest success in Massachusetts where in 1854 the American Party captured all state offices, the entire State Senate and all but a handful of seats in the House chamber. According to Dolan, once in power in Massachusetts the Know-Nothings mandated the reading of the King James Bible in public schools, disbanded Irish militia units while confiscating their weapons and deported nearly 300 poor Irish back to Liverpool because they were a drain on the public treasury. They also barred naturalized citizens from voting unless they had spent 21 years in the United States."
My ancestors were welcomed with open arms. Nothing ever changes.

Your ancestors weren't given all the free stuff today's immigrants are getting.
As an American I'm growing tired of our ancestors being compared to the migrants of today.

Where I live we have a factory that hired in Haitians..they are living 35 miles to the east of us,,, they have made the highway dangerous because they have no regard for any of the other motorists..I don’t travel that route at all unless it’s an absolute necessity… I can’t remember observing the number of just how many head on collisions being narrowly avoided . They don’t have drivers licenses and police presence is almost zero on that stretch because it goes in and out of 3 separate counties… it’s basically a no man’s land. It’s only a matter of time until fatal accidents are going to start piling up. Probably when the freezing rain and icy conditions start coming.
