Caught I think 4 bears that day and relocated them, set a few new traps, and ran a few wolf traps on the reservation for a study. Good days work.
2 of my dream hunts would be to see a bear up a tree with hounds under it and a mountain lion treed with dogs. I don't even need to shoot one - I just want to see some hounds tree them......that would make my day!

find someone who runs dogs and ask nice and bring 100# of the dogfood they feed and I bet you could make the bear happen.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Sure miss hunting with hounds, hunted with a guy named Sam Faulk. I worked a couple of his dogs over the winter and bear hunted with him in the summer. Those were good days. He could be hard to get along with at times. That is a good-looking bear.

Thanks everyone, it was a fun hunt, told the guide I wanted bear meat and didn’t care about a mount or rug. Finished vacuum sealing the meat and will be eating good the coming year

Elsmasho, selling the hide to a fur buyer.no place to hang it. Will get the skull boiled down for the shelf
