I just saw a little story that the Biden administration has asked the courts to remove all remaining protections for gray wolves in the U.S. Does anyone have more info on this?

That story is Headlined as Billings Montana...... I have to wonder if this is some ploy to try to save John Tester........spit............from defeat by Tim Sheehy for US Senate seat in MT. ?? Has he been making any noise on that issue at all? I havent seen any recent stories at all about him and wolves unless they mention in passing where they passed his plan to do delist them 13 years ago.

Harris lied so much in her debate with Trump. Her saying she is a gun owner maybe. But, prior to that she was a staunch supporter of a mandatory gun buy back program.
Now, she's saying she wants another debate with Trump and he's refusing. I think he should do it but, only if it's moderated by FOX or a more neutral station like NewsNation. She'll never agree to that.
We are living in a world where the intelligent must be quiet so that the no common sense people won't be offended.

Curious question, wolves taken in Wisconsin this story states were primarily taken by hunters with hounds, is that true?

Osky DNR reporting says 86% with the aid of dogs…we have lots of hound hunters that waited for their chance. They didn’t miss it. . https://widnr.widen.net/s/k8vtcgjwkf/wolf-season-report-february-2021

I think the short season worked in the hunters favor vs trappers. Short season, time of year, and absolutely perfect conditions for dog hunting that time. Previous seasons there were almost entirely trappers because they opened early and most areas were filled quotas before they were able to run hounds and the few where they could didnt have snow. I know one group who took six in this last Wisconsin season, three with dogs and three in traps. But for the majority of trappers who didnt know right where the wolves were on opening day and had them patterned to set where they would be the next night, the quotas were filled before the wolves ever had a chance to go by their sets. Hint: when your quotas fill in a day or two, your quotas are way too low.
