Whenever I come across these single spring no. 1 coils I cringe. As a kid I lost lots of fur in these silly traps, and was really discouraged about trapping.

I wonder who ever tested these traps in the field before production? Victor traps of the early 80’s were junk, IMO

I had a lot of them and they were to hard to set so I sold
Them ..

I hated the few I had and threw them in with a bunch of other traps on a bulk trade for better stuff.


Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I even lost gray squirrels with them!
Darn jaws opposite the spring were easily spread apart.

Those things were not great. Mine were stolen and it was no great loss.
