I picked a bunch of them one time along town road. Made a batch really good grape jelly.
Those look like some really nice ones.

Those are many times bigger than my wild grapes and probably bigger than any of my domestic grapes. You should root some cuttings from those. They look great.

My uncle David used to pick wild grapes like that by lakes and ponds in the woods, probably 45 years ago. They were really good.

Grape cuttings are easy to root and grow new plants from. If you take 3 leaf node cuttings, once the grapes grow dormant in the Fall, place them in soil, with the middle leaf node just slightly below soil and water them as needed. Usually 100% of the cuttings will root. Pinch off the flowers the first year, so the vine puts energy into rooting and growing, rather than fruiting.

With care, those grapes, may be incredible and more productive.

My wild grapes are tiny in comparison to those, probably 1/15th the size.

My wild grapes make excellent juice, once cooked down, strained and after having lots of water and sugar added.

I wish I had wild grapes like those.

Years ago I planted hazelnuts and Concord grapes side by side on the edge of our woods. I now have grapenuts! smile

The wild grapes that grow on and around my property are small, packed with seeds and bitter.

A lot of wild grapes are crossed with domestic grapes that are near enough to cross pollinate, so they can be very variable. I used to pick crossed up.wild grapes on a friend's farm. They were about 4 times larger than our normal wild grapes and sweeter.

The grapes pictures remind me of pictures of some pictures of mucadines I have seen.

Most wild grapes have great flavonoids, but lack sugar and water, which are easy enough to add to the juice, which works almost like a concentrate. They make good enough juice, that I pick them, even though I have domestic grapes.

We have what is called mustang grapes here in central tx. About dime size, with good rainfall, like has been said, great flavor but need to add water and sugar. Makes a really good grape jelly

It is time to pick Scuppernongs and Muscadines around here now. Many folks have arbors around their homes; commercial growers can have many acres of them. They are also found wild in the woods. If the vines are overhanging water, many kinds of fish can be caught below them. I have some vines around my house, however no grapes this year due to drought. Most farmers markets and grocery stores have them for sale too.

Those grapes he has there remind me of the ones my grandfather had on his arbor. That 50 years ago those I was told were concord grapes. I can imagine there probably some of those vines in the woods from old farms and homesteads.

When coon were worth money I set traps by any grape vine I knew about a long farm fields.

The remains from cooking grapes down make good coon bait, if the coons get to your trap before the opossums do.

Some of the grapevines in the swamp behind my place are huge. I've seen them with trunks 8-10 inches in diameter. You start yanking on one of the vines and a tree branch a hundred feet away starts shaking.

Eh...wot?

Wild grapes have saved me more than once out in the woods, out of water, and a mile up hill walk in the hot sun.
