I have some shore-lander and some other off brand that appear to be ripoffs of Scotty they work decent , that are on my other boat.

these are the scotty
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0011TTFHS/ref=ox_sc_act_image_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1

this is what I am thinking about going with they cost about 24 dollars each but have a universal base and scotty has a bunch of accessories , triples , bait boards , extensions that all use the same base.

the boat is small enough 14' long by 59" wide so best use of space becomes important
the goal is also to keep this jon boat able to pull everything off of it and flip it over on a set of saw horses behind the garage for winter

is there anything you like that I might not even be seeing on the market from searches?

I run these I really like them as once the are locked I don't have to worry about the grandkids knocking something over while still being able to put rods in or out even at 6 or 7 years old.

Fishbite rod holders out of north carolina. I have 12-14 on my 2072 grizzly and they are really nice rod holders, come in different shaft lengths. They are stainless steel with threaded shafts and they make several different style bases to mount them with. They have two different degrees at which they hold the rod whether you are deadlining or fishing down rods drifting. And i will also add they are very good people to deal with also. If you have any questions or need something special they will help you out

Stick. Find the balance point really works great. I got those yokes hid at every fishing spot I go too.

For off the bank I use a piece of inch and a half steel pipe welded to 12 inches of rebar.
It works well and I have never lost a rod. [Linked Image]

this is the boat
not shore fishing
she generally turns around and sits on the front , eventually that is probably going to get a bow mount trolling motor and battery moved up there to put more weight forward
I am thinking 2 on the front deck or just before it , 2 about in line with the middle bench and 2 about in line with the rear bench
we get 3 lines each in WI

probably start with 2 and work on more
I am going to take my pencil with me and mark where they would be most useful while I am fishing before I get them.

Mine look just like the Scottys Pete but they are made by Yak Attack.

I run all RAM holders on my boat and pier- these were issued from the RCL Championship. They’re really nice- all cast aluminum

thanks for the ideas and info

I decided Scotty sounds like it will do what I want and they have a good reputation lots of options using the same base mount

I ordered my first 2 . others and accessories will have to wait for now.

That's what I have on the pontoon, different bracket but that's 'cause mine hook around the railings. Great choice imho
