Went to my son's meet-the-teacher day. One of them was from Joysee. Said she couldn't believe how fast construction moved in NC.

I looked at her and said, "Non union labor."

She looked back at me quietly and agreed. Think I might have ticked her off.

Truth hurts.

How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

In the case of the teamsters, about 95%!

Don't blame anyone for working a high paying union job, it's best for those individuals. What's best for the country may be something different but that doesn't matter in todays world, it's all about what's best for ME.

More demands, higher pay, more benefits, etc, etc. Do any of you in a union ever stop for two seconds and wonder when your going to price yourself out of a job? Or have alot of union's already done so? Is that why auto worker union's worry my state to death trying to get all our car manufacturing plant's unionized? Imagine if you looked at stat's union jobs have been steadily declining over the last few decade's. Ford and Cheverolet have never made as worthless JUNK as they are today unless it was in the 70's when Toyota nearly sunk them. Yet the price tags on new pick up's is comparable to buying a new house! The business model they are running right now isn't sustainable BUT why worry when if your company goes belly up the gov. will just bail you out? Be nice start a business and if it fails i could get a bail out and not have to close the doors and lose everything id worked for all my life.

The dollar will soon be devalued to the point it won't matter what you make at your union job cause all your currency is worthless! But keep getting everything you can cause you 'deserve' a living wage.

I most definitely don't have a weak mind and it's still not obvious. Please share your expertise, if you are truly able.

Most of what I see on this thread is about where the union money goes.........to the anti-gun, anti-outdoorsmen party.
If that bothers you, well...........

I admit I don't know a lot about a union as I have worked for the same non-union company for going on 37 years. I cannot imagine how a union would have helped me advance in my career. One of our parent companies when we were 1st, formed was union. When I would go to their plants for a tour it was a eye opener as to how inefficient they were compared to our non-union owners. It wasn't harder work, it was just one stayed busy while the other would stand around BS & taking a smoke break every few minutes.
As stated, from my limited experience I cannot understand how a union could have ever help me in my career. Maybe if you are not motivated and looking for a handout for being lazy, then a union would be a benefit.
The union parent company went out of business, and we are 100% owned by the non-union company now and still growing yearly. In my opinion the union put 2000+ employees out of a job.

I think unions definitely helped American workers, back when they first formed. I think most are parasitic now and a money making branch of the democrat party. I was only being a little sarcastic when I talked about unions being better back under the control of the Mafia.

The Mafia did terrible stuff, that was pretty well balanced by good stuff. The old Dons took care of and helped people that deserved it. They also took care of bad people, that deserved it, in other ways. I don't see much good coming from the democrats.

I can see where the common union member would be attracted to Trump. His anti- immigrant labor and protectionist tariff policy would be in line with union member's goals.

Y’all must see or have different Unions where y’all live. I can tell you where I work, you don’t perform or do your job, you’ll get fired. The company ultimately makes the decisions on how they want their company to run, the union is there to keep them honest and persuade them to brush a few more crumbs off the table. I have never seen the Union save a turds job or even give it much effort.

Gotta admit. I don't know SQUAT about how this Union stuff works.

Will say though, EVERY SINGLE person I know that belongs to them, their whole life seems to center around it.

Work n $$. They typically have Zero hobbies and if they do, they will BORE you to death telling the same stories oven n over.

It's 100% impossible to have a conversation about anything with a union worker without them bringing up $ or thier job!

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.
