The Cards always had a very strong farm system that develop a lot of good players. I few years ago they decided to buy the big names and traded away many high level prospects. They never really got the quick and high level production from those trades and now they have to bring their farm system from the bottom 1/3rd back to where they used to be right behind the Dodgers, Braves, Oriales and now even the Royals. Brewers moved from the bottom 1/4 to the top 1/4 in a couple years. Hope we will have some solid teams for a few years as the rookies develp.

The Phillies are officially in the playoffs now.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Cleveland lowered their magic number to 1 to win the division. Thanks to the best bullpen in baseball they are 68 and 2 when leading after 6 innings. If they can score a few runs they are going to be tough in the playoffs.

Cleveland clinched today as the Giants beat the Royals. Been gone to X country meet for a couple days so missed some games. Did not miss much as the Brewers are playing soso ball at best. They have 3 tough games with the Mets after the D-Backs also. Don't know team stragegies or thoughts as to how to play out the season after securing a place.

Seems like no teams want to go to the post season real bad, lol. Can't put together more than one or two wins before losing one or two.

The Phillies game is on ESPN tonight so I will be able to watch it. So far it has been a good day, the Eagles beat the Saints and the Steelers won.

Brewers come from behind 8-0 to win 10-9 over D-Backs. Scored 4 runs in 8th with 2 outs. Fun game.

"it ain't over until it is over" as Yogi stated. Wow what a wild one at Milwaukee. D-Backs that score the most runs in the MLB but have the highest ERA! Brewers eek out a win. Now the Mets.

Montas was tipping his pitches and he is not good enough to have the batter knowing what is coming. That contributed to them falling in a big hole early.

Fans had to remind them they had not lost four games in a row all year. Booing seemed to wake them up.

I goofed. We go to play the Pirates for 3 games first and then 3 at home with the Mets. Padres and the Mets have played the best ball in the NL for the last half of the season. AL wild card is a real tight one too.

Phillies host the Cubs for the next three days. I think the Cubs will get 2 of 3 wins. I really don't care, just wanted to take a guess. What's your prediction NL?

Phillies looking good thus far. Good chance they clinch their division tonight.

Swanson has had something like 14 home runs in his career vs the Phillies,,, so Counsel sets him out for "rest reasons". Ha, what an idiot!

Are you sure? He left Milwaukee and that seemed to help the brewers. Right ADC?
