I have never seen a 94 chambered in 225. I have shot several M70’s in 225 and they were all good shooters and almost identical in performance to the 22-250. The biggest blow to the 225 was it was introduced in 1964 in the new M70 that everyone hated.

My brother had a 94 auction with a Remington barrel on it in 225. He took the barrel off and put a 30-30 barrel on it. Between trying to find flat nose 22 cal bullets and having to load them down to keep from blowing the lever auction up, he felt it was a waste. He just bought a 225 in a Winchester high wall.

according to wikipedia the 225 was never chambered in a lever action
Quote
Based on the .219 Zipper case but with a reduced rim diameter[2] to fit the common .473" bolt face, it was intended as a replacement for the .220 Swift cartridge which had a reputation for burning out barrels. Despite having a modern straight taper design, the round was eclipsed by the older .22-250 Remington, already a popular wildcat introduced commercially a year later.

The .225 Winchester was chambered in factory rifles by Winchester (Models 70 and 670) and Savage (Model 340). All commercially produced rifles chambered in .225 Winchester were turn-bolt or break actions. Winchester ceased producing rifles chambered in .225 Winchester in 1971, however seasonal production of loaded ammunition and brass continues by Winchester. Reloading dies for the round are readily available.

The .225 Winchester's case is a parent case for some of SSK Industries'[3] popular line of JDJ cartridges designed by J.D. Jones, chosen for its strength and semi-rimmed design which makes it well suited for use in break-open actions.[4]

"1.5 MOA at 50 yards."
That is a stupid expression. What is its MOA at 25 yards? 30 Yards? 60 yards? 100 yards?
The answer? 1.5 MOA.
If Winchester is too ignorant to know that, then we should make shovel and rake handles out of every rifle they have ever produced.
On top of that, 1.5 MOA is lousy.
I'm out.

So if I'm matching right...basically like 1" groups ..... Why they use moa at sub 100yd distance? Idk guess they like sounding fancy ? Buzzwords .... 100yd plus 1moa = 1" @100 2" @200 3" @300 roughly but you get the picture

Have they gone bonkers with that MOA claim? Or is lead free 22 ammo all junk?
So you’re looking at 3” at 100yds…….meh.
This will be a round for collectors quick, won’t last long.

There's the rub. They are trying to pee down my back and tell me that it is raining. Then they are flat out lying that 22 rounds on the market are inferior to their 1.5 MOA rounds.
I wouldn't give 1.5 MOA rounds to somebody's kid that I don't like.
